Merlin Group, a leading real estate developer, had signed up a Tollywood Superstar and a leading lady of Bengali Films for a prime real estate project, Serenia. The idea was to create two experiential films in which the expansive living space and the infinity lake-view from the balcony could be showcased. YUWEUS, an award winning Advertising Agency who were working on the campaign, crafted the scripts in the most poetic way possible. Now it was up to Streetlight to create two beautiful films which could do justice to the scripts and the two Stars. Sudarshana and Rohan, with their years of experience in handling complex productions, knew it was challenging to deliver the films, in two weeks, that too wIthin the budget that was sanctioned. But they wanted the best of talents onboard to ensure the quality that Streetlight in known for. Dhiraj Banerjee, a nationally renowned Director was roped in to direct the two films. Since post production was critical with one film entirely dependent on VFX, Dipankar Dhara with his vast experience of managing post production, was brought in to supervise the VA Studios team that delivers cutting edge VFX for real estate projects. Rohan ensured the set was constructed as a replica of the actual apartment without any technical flaws so that the audience could get the real feel. Tapas Sarkar the renowned Art Director of scores of National and International Projects, created the most impeccable set. Sudarshana made sure the apartment was designed keeping the appropriate aesthetics in mind. Almost every prop was handpicked to ensure, it seemed lived-in and warmly inviting. Indranil Mukherjee, the cinematographer, checked the set multiple times to make sure, the right spaces were there to capture the chemistry at play in the apartment. The task was purely mathematical. Replacing the blue-screen with the actual location shots and compositing the 3D elevation, was absolute physics. Every perspective, shadow and the view, had to be as it should be. Integration of actual infinity-view through VFX within a set that was a replica of the apartment was no less than a science project. But we triumphed as usual. Love for films, won the day. And we moved on to the next.
